Terms and Conditions 

  

This contest is organized by Optical Warehouse inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "contest organizer"). It begins on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 9:00 AM and ends on Saturday, November 25, at 5:00 PM (hereinafter referred to as the "contest duration"). 

1. Eligibility 

This contest is open to all individuals residing in Quebec and Canada who are 18 years of age and older (hereinafter referred to as "participants"). Excluded are employees of Optical Warehouse, agents and representatives of the contest organizer, its optical stores, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, equipment and services related to this contest, or any other individuals directly involved in the organization of this contest, as well as individuals residing with these employees, agents, and representatives. 

2. How to Participate 

2.1 The contest is divided into two categories: the in-store contest and the Facebook contests. 

2.2 For a chance to win the in-store contest prize, participants must make a purchase or simply visit one of the 18 Optical Warehouse or Entrepôt de la Lunette stores. Customers will receive one entry for every $50 spent after all applicable discounts. Visitors without a purchase are eligible to participate with one coupon for the entire contest period.  

2.2.1  Mandatory information requested from the in-store contest participants: 

  • Last Name 
  • First name 
  • Optical Store
  • Email address 
  • Phone number 

2.3 To have a chance to win a Facebook contest prize, participants must follow one of the Optical Warehouse or Entrepôt de la Lunette Facebook pages.  

2.3.1 To participate in the Facebook contests, participants must visit the Entrepôt de la Lunette Facebook page (facebook.com/entrepotdelalunette) or Optical Warehouse Facebook page (facebook.com/thecanadianopticalwarehouse) between Monday, October 2, 2023, at 9:00 AM and Saturday, November 25, at 5:00 PM.  

2.3.2 Every Monday from October 2 to November 6 and every day from November 12 to November 25, 2023, a prize to be won will be posted on our "Entrepôt de la Lunette" and "Optical Warehouse" Facebook pages. Participants must have completed the actions mentioned below before the closing of each contest as announced: 

A. Share the post by tagging Entrepôt de la Lunette or Optical Warehouse in their personal story or on their account.  

B. Like the Entrepôt de la Lunette or Optical Warehouse Facebook page. 

C. (Optional) Tag friends for one additional entry per friend. 

3. Date and Time 

The contest will be in effect from Monday, October 2, 2023, at 9:00 AM, and will end on Saturday, November 25, at 5:00 PM, and will be available online only from the Entrepôt de la Lunette Facebook page (facebook.com/entrepotdelalunette) and Optical Warehouse Facebook page (facebook.com/thecanadianopticalwarehouse). 

 4. Description of Prizes 

A total of 45 prizes will be awarded between the Facebook contests and in-store contest: 

4.1 For the Facebook contest that will run from October 2 to November 25:  

4.1.1 There will be a weekly draw each week from October 2 to November 11 where 5 winners will be drawn each week, and there will be a daily draw from November 12 to 25 where 1 winner will be drawn daily.  

4.1.2 Each winner will receive a frame with an average value of $100 (between $20 and $200) along with $100 in gift cards (4 gift cards valued at $25 each). 

4.1.3 The total value of the prizes given during the Facebook contests will be $8800 (approximately $200 per winner x 44 winners).  

4.2 For the in-store contest :  

4.2.1 There will be a single draw where 3 winners will be drawn.  

4.2.2 The first winner selected will receive the grand prize of $1,000 and the next two winners drawn will each win gift cards worth $100 (4 gift cards valued at $25 each). 

4.2.3 The total value of the prizes given during the in-store contest will be $1200 

4.2.4 The total value of all prizes is $10,000. 

5. Conditions Related to Prizes 

5.1 Winners must select an Entrepôt de la Lunette or Optical Warehouse optical store to visit to redeem their prize.  

5.2 The prize cannot be transferred. 

5.3 Winners who wish to have prescription lenses inserted into a frame they have won must provide a valid prescription for the manufacturing of the prescription lenses. 

5.4 Prescription lenses will be at the regular price and cannot be combined with any existing promotions.

6. Prize Allocation 

6.1 Winners will be determined by random draws from all valid entries received within the specified time frames for each contest. 

6.2 The draws will take place at the head office of Entrepôt de la Lunette inc.  

6.3 For each Facebook contest, the draw will take place at 11:00 am on the first business day following the closure of each contest. 

6.4 For the in-store contest, the draw will be held on December 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM. 

6.5 For the Facebook contest, a member of the Entrepôt de la Lunette head office team will contact the winners using Facebook's private messenger to inform them. 

6.6 For the in-store contest, a representative from Entrepôt de la Lunette’s head office will contact the winner by email or phone to announce their victory. 

7. Designation of Winners and Prize Redemption 

To be declared winners, selected individuals must contact the contest organizers within ten (10) business days following the draw. If the selected individuals cannot be reached within ten (10) business days following the draw, they will be disqualified, and a second draw will be conducted. Optical Warehouse reserves the right not to conduct additional draws if the person does not claim their prize. 

8. Acceptance of Prizes 

8.1 The prizes offered from October 2 to November 25 are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-redeemable for cash except for frames which may be exchanged for a frame of equal or lesser value from the available selection at the Entrepôt de la Lunette or Optical Warehouse store selected. Other restrictions may apply. 

8.2 The prizes offered from October 2 to November 25 must be accepted as is and are not refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash. 

9. Refusal to Accept a Prize 

The refusal by a randomly selected individual to accept a prize under the terms of these rules releases the contest organizers from any obligation related to that prize to that individual. In such a case, if decided, the contest organizer may, at its discretion, conduct a new draw until a new participant is selected and declared a winner, and this may continue until a participant accepts the prize. 

10. General Conditions 

10.1 The rules are final and binding for all matters related to the administration of the contest and the awarding of prizes. 

10.2 By participating in the contest and/or accepting a prize, participants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, voice, statements, and/or photograph or other likeness for advertising or informational purposes by the sponsors or their advertising agencies in any media or format without further notice or compensation. 

10.3 No correspondence will be entered into with participants, except with winning participants. 

10.4 By participating in the contest, participants release and hold harmless the service providers, their advertising and promotional agencies, contest judges, their related or affiliated companies, as well as their distributors, suppliers, directors, agents, representatives, successors, and respective administrators (collectively, the "Releasees") from any liability related to the contest or, in the case of the declared winner, the prize. 

10.5 By participating in the contest, participants acknowledge that they have read and understood these rules and agree to be bound by them and to comply with them. Participants attest that the rules are understandable and reasonably available for consultation. 

10.6 This contest will be held in accordance with these rules, which may be amended by the service providers and are subject to approval by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Participants must adhere to these rules and will be deemed to have received and understood them by participating in the Contest. The terms of the Contest, as set out in these rules, may not be amended or counter-proposed except as stipulated in these rules. 

11. Limitation of Liability - Use of Prize 

Any person selected releases the contest organizer, its affiliated companies, employees, agents, representatives, and prize suppliers from any liability for any damage they may suffer as a result of accepting or using their prize. In order to be declared a winner and prior to receiving their prize, any selected person agrees to sign, if required, a declaration form to that effect. 

12. Supplier Liability 

Any person selected for a prize acknowledges that, from the receipt of a written notice confirming their prize, the execution of services related to that prize becomes the sole and exclusive responsibility of the prize or service provider. 

13. Limitation of Liability - Contest Operation 

13.1 Service providers assume no responsibility in the event of Internet or website failure during the promotional period or at any other time, in the event of any technical problem or failure affecting telephone lines or networks, online computer systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, or email transmission systems, or in the event of Internet or website congestion or any combination of these factors, including computer damage and damage to the participant's or any other person's computer associated in any way with the game or the promotion-related download. 

13.2 Facebook is in no way affiliated with this contest. 

14. Modification 

14.1 Service providers reserve the right, at their discretion and with the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, to cancel or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, if a virus, computer problem, or any other factor beyond their control jeopardizes the security or proper administration of the Contest. 

14.2 Any deliberate attempt to damage a website or disrupt the proper functioning of this promotion violates the Criminal Code and civil laws; in such cases, the service provider reserves the right to seek remedies and recover damages to the extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. 

14.3 Contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person who attempts to do so in a manner contrary to the rules or unlawfully (e.g., hacking or exceeding the limit). 

15. Limitation of Liability - Participation 

By participating or attempting to participate in this contest, any participating person releases the contest organizers, their affiliated companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents, and representatives from any liability for any damage they may suffer as a result of participating or attempting to participate in the contest. 

16. Authorization 

By participating in this contest, any winning person irrevocably and perpetually authorizes the contest organizers, their partners, and representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, prize-related statement, place of residence, and voice without any form of compensation, at their discretion and without limitation as to the period of use, in any media and on a global scale, for advertising or any other relevant purpose. 

17. Decisions of the Contest Organizers 

Any decision of the contest organizers or their representatives regarding this contest is final and binding, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec regarding any matter within its jurisdiction. 

18. Dispute 

A dispute regarding the organization or conduct of an advertising contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for resolution. A dispute regarding the allocation of a prize may be submitted to the Régie solely for the purpose of attempting to resolve it.
